Legislation - Current

The Tribunal is an independent quasi-judicial regulatory agency which is established by the Oil and Gas Activities Act, S.B.C. 2008, c. 36, and hears appeals from various “determinations” and decisions made under that legislation.

According to section 20 of the Oil and Gas Activities Act, certain sections of the Administrative Tribunals Act, S.B.C. 2004, c. 45, also apply to the Tribunal.
